Meditation trains attention. It reduces anxiety, improves sleep, and builds emotional resilience. You can do it anywhere — chair, car, office. No equipment needed. Best when your mind is racing and you can't sit still.
Yoga stretches and strengthens the body. It improves posture, flexibility, and balance. Many styles (yin, restorative) also calm the nervous system. Best when your body feels tight and your mind needs to move.
They're not competitors. Yoga prepares the body for meditation; meditation calms the mind after yoga. Do yoga to loosen up, then meditate to go inward. Many people do both in one session.
Do both. Start with 15 minutes of yoga to loosen the body, then 10 minutes of meditation to quiet the mind. That's the traditional yoga practice — asana then dhyana.
